Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth novel in the Harry Potter series written by J.K.Rowling, published on 8 July 2000. The book attracted additional attention because of a pre-publication warning from J. K. Rowling that one of the characters would be murdered in the book. Three million copies of the book were sold over the first weekend in the US alone.
The novel won a Hugo Award in 2001 the only Harry Potter novel to do so. The book was made into a film, which was released worldwide on 18 November 2005.
